In a rare solo set, crafted especially for the Earthwork Harvest Gathering, Michael Beauchamp-Cohen will perform selections written over the past 10 years, songs that came about between Red Tail Ring albums, in quiet moments, and from the heart (of a champion). After releasing his debut solo album in 2008 (My Northern Voices), Beauchamp-Cohen has spent the last decade making music with Laurel Premo as part of the Americana duo Red Tail Ring. RTR has released four full length albums in that time and traveled the world, performing over 800 shows in a dozen countries, spanning the globe from Australia to Europe and all over North America. Beauchamp-Cohen's song craft and wordsmithing bring to mind another Cohen, but his perspective and outlook are uniquely his own.
