HEAVY COLORs Post-World Ensemble: drawing inspiration from their newest work, Music from the Film Sand Reckoner by Haseeb Ahmed, which traces the path of the wind from the Sahara Desert to Venice, Italy. Heavy Color has focused their performances toward a set of intimate music that blends elements of traditional folk music and instruments, sound design, modern jazz and ambient music while deconstructing these elements in real time via live capture and altered playback, blending the organic with the otherworldly. Frequent collaborators in the ensemble are Mike Savina, Lucas Madrazo, Patrick Booth, Estar Cohen and Jeffrey Niemeier.
