Dick Siegel is a Michigan treasure. For more than 20 years the Ann Arbor native has been putting positive waves into our saturated atmosphere. His live performances have become landmark events. In 2001, Detroit's WDET added him to their list of “the most important and influential musical artists in the history of Detroit,” alongside such notables as Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin and Bob Seger. He has been featured on NPR’s Mountain Stage, All Things Considered, and in the pages of SingOut! Magazine. In 2010 Siegel was appointed DeRoy Visiting Professor in Honors at the University of Michigan, where he designed and continues to teach a songwriting course entitled “Singing Out of Our Minds.” He also created and directs a two-week songwriting program at one of America’s hotbeds for young performers, the Interlochen Center for the Arts. Albums include Snap! (1992), Angels Aweigh (1994), A Little Pain Never Hurt (2002), Fighting For King George (2003), and Dick Siegel & THe Brandos Live! (2011).
