Lack of access to good food is both a cause and a symptom of the structural inequalities and institutional racism that divides society. Food Justice refers to a range of efforts emerging from communities in response to food insecurity and economic pressures that prevent access to healthy, nutritious, and culturally appropriate foods. This panel will explore the great diversity of initiatives present within the Food Justice Movement from community gardens to worker owned coops, from food assistance programs to farm worker unions and more.
