Ani Mari (of Ani & Kora) might be very young, but there is already wisdom and nuance to be found in her song writing. Missing her fiddler and co-conspirator, Kora (who is away at Conserve School this fall), Ani returns to Harvest this year with the backing of Mike LaBeau (guitar) and Adam Johnson (drums) to bring us indie folk with a lot on its mind and its heart on its sleeve. The word prodigy is overused, so let's just say we're excited to see where she goes from here. Ani & Kora album available: Voyager (2018).
