Loren Johnson
Growing up bouncing around the country as the only child in a military family meant there weren’t many consistencies in early life for Loren Johnson. Her father’s acoustic guitar was one of the few things that came with her family no matter where they went--so naturally, she picked it up and learned to play. Years later, after having settled in West Michigan, Loren found herself in the middle of a vibrant, emerging music and art scene. She released a string of singles in her mid-teens before finally publishing her first EP, “Sleepsick,” in December 2016, which rose to iTunes Top 10 best new singer-songwriter releases that January. Somewhere between playing live, starting a photography business, and being heavily involved with planning the Walk the Beat Festival in Grand Haven, Loren graduated from Grand Valley State University in 2017 and has since started writing her first full-length album between travels. Loren Johnson charms audiences with her surprisingly rich and soulful vocals, combined with bright, skillful folk guitar. Her first album is set for release in Fall 2019.
