Madelyn Grant is a young soul and R&B singer who grew up listening to Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye, and Stevie Wonder, and is heavily influenced by Lauryn Hill and D’Angelo. Madelyn has been gigging around the Metro Detroit and Ann Arbor area, and has toured nationally with the Emancipator Ensemble. Though Madelyn has just started playing clubs and festivals in the last few years, she has written music and collaborated with ODESZA, FKJ, and Emancipator, with more collaborations in the works. The single “Waiting” from French producer FKJ features her vocals and songwriting and has over 1 million plays on SoundCloud.
